At a time when starting solids can feel overwhelming (and often overcomplicated), the brand is resonating with modern parents looking for convenience without compromising on quality.

Meals are made from wholefoods, nutritionally balanced, and delivered straight to the door — removing the pressure from one of the most stressful early parenting milestones.

The brand is even backed by mum and KIC founder Steph Claire Smith, who organically started using Le Puree as her daughter Billie began solids — and is now loving it.

“Food has always been a big part of our lives, and good food has a way of bringing families together,” Steph tells 7You.

“Le Puree gives us real confidence in what we’re feeding Billie — fresh, whole foods that are nutrient-dense, balanced, and delivered straight to our door.

“Billie’s loving every bite, and honestly, so am I. It’s such a wholesome, thoughtful approach to first foods and starting solids for modern parents.”

Steph (and baby Billie) particularly like the Berry Chia Jam, Blueberry Muffins (which are a go-to in her son’s lunchbox) and Lamb and Zucchini, as well as the Catch of the Day sardines.

So why is Le Puree so good and why do you need to invest?

Not only is the brand’s food hassle-free, but according to the Head of Nutrition and Dietitian at Le Puree Jessica Kurosaki, it all comes down to developing your little one’s tastebuds.

“Exposing babies to a wide range of flavours isn’t just about filling their bellies; it’s about programming their palate,” she says.

“Using this time as a creative time to play and engage with new foods, flavours and meals allows you to increase their repertoire before their toddler / fussy phase kicks in later.”

The expert argues that babies are “born with an evolutionary survival instinct to love sweet tastes (think breastmilk and formula) and avoid bitter tastes (because, intelligently, bitter food could be a potential toxin).

“If we only feed them sweet fruits and starchy veggies, we reinforce that bias,” Jessica says.

“By introducing bitter or earthy flavours (like kale, broccoli, or even certain spices) before their first birthday, you’re teaching their brain that these flavours are safe and normal, essentially overriding their biological sweet tooth.”

Between six and 12 months is an ideal time frame in which to expose them to new textures and flavours.

“Once they hit about 18–24 months, neophobia (the fear of new foods) often kicks in. If they’ve already banked a library of 50+ foods and flavours during those early days, they are much less likely to “shut down” and insist on white bread and nuggets later on,” she says.

But exposing babies to new flavours doesn’t have to be difficult.

Even simply including a spice lke cinnamon, cumin or turmeric in an apple puree early on represents a “food bridge” for a baby.

“If a baby is used to the smell of cinnamon in their apple puree, they’ll be more likely to accept a savory Moroccan-inspired stew later. This variety prevents flavour boredom and makes them more curious about what’s on your plate,” Jessica says.

“There is no exact method for every baby; there’s just variety. There’s texture, flavour and food variety — all which can be explored via your diet and your meals, to expose them to their ‘normal’ family meals from day one.

“Don’t stress if they don’t eat everything — just exposure and trial and error.”

And there are countless different options on the website to choose from, whether you’re a new starter or an experienced Le Puree feeder.

Reviews are glowing for the brand, with thousands of parents having left five-star writeups.

“Le Puree is such a time saver and actually tasty. My little bub absolutely loves the purees. The little puree cubes are super convenient when pressed for time and last ages! I highly recommend!” writes one happy mum.

“Such a convenient way to start my solid journey with my bub as a FTM while making sure he gets the most nutritious food and delicious as well. He loves almost every single puree I’ve given him. About to order more for him because we almost ran out!” adds another.

A third says: “It’s such a relief to have good, nutritious baby food on hand, bonus that it tastes really good too!”
